Spring is a ‘Valley Dog Trust’ patient. Spring presented at the vet on the 27th July, with a large swelling in the throat region, due to a suspected snake bite. Cytotoxins in venom cause tissue to die over a few days, which is then cut away and we are left with a wound, as in image30 July. Spring was on antibiotic tablets and pain control. Ultrapure™ MaxiVet was used to manage the wound, spraying twice daily.
Spring didn’t flinch when sprayed. It was very well tolerated. The wound granulated beautifully, remained infection free and contracted to a small wound remarkably quickly.
